When we first learned about the Lanai Cat Sanctuary and its incredible work in providing a safe haven for abandoned and stray cats, we were moved by their dedication to animal welfare. The sanctuary’s efforts to protect the island’s unique ecosystem by managing the cat population to safeguard native bird species further resonated with our commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation.
“With the generous support from RockItCoin, their $1,000 donation will go towards the food and care for over 660 cats in our care and allow us to save cats and protect native birds on its tiny island,” Joe Adarna, the Director of Operations at the Lanai Cat Sanctuary, stated while expressing his heartfelt appreciation for our donation. “With all of our costs going up this year, this couldn’t have come at a better time,” reaffirming the importance of our contribution during a challenging period for the sanctuary.
Brian Melson, a RockItCoin employee, was so inspired by the sanctuary’s work that he and his wife, Andrea, decided to adopt a cat. They found a sweet and playful cat named Oni, who quickly has become a beloved member of their family. Brian is grateful to the sanctuary for giving Oni a second chance at life, and he is proud to support their work in protecting cats and native birds on Lanai.
